Northwest Special Education Cooperative is seeking a School Social Worker or School Counselor for placement in the Jo Daviess County region for the 2025-2026 School Year. The successful candidate
will:
–
teach social and communication skills to students with disabilities;
–
provide individual and small group therapy services as per IEPs;
–
provide outreach services to families of students;
–
participate on IEP teams for both initial- and re- evaluations for special education eligibility;
–
and be a liaison for families regarding information/community resources
Qualifications:
The qualified individual holds a Master's Degree in social work, with a specialization in school social work, as well as the appropriate Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in School Social Work.
