Workshop Description
Providing students with a structured and consistent continuum of visual support systems as they develop their skills is a crucial element in scaffolding the potential for progression in learning and independent functioning. Participants will learn about differentiated scheduling and transitioning tools, communication systems, the use of visuals to reinforce and alter routines, the role of language in using visuals, and the physical arrangement of the learning environment for optimal use of visual tools to reduce problem behaviors.
