    Workshop Description: Providing students with a structured and consistent continuum of visual support systems as they develop their skills is a crucial element in scaffolding the potential for progression in learning and independent functioning. Participants will learn about differentiated scheduling and transitioning tools, communication systems, the use of visuals to reinforce and alter routines, the role of language in using visuals, and the physical arrangement of the learning environment for optimal use of visual tools to reduce problem behaviors.

    Workshop Description: Participants will create resources that address the continuum of speech and language skills so students can more efficiently develop communication skills over time. Tasks will incorporate concepts such as letter identification, letter sound identification, nouns and verbs, sentence development, “wh” questions, etc. to aide in implementation of critical elements of speech and language in a visual structured manner to assist therapists in achieving individual student outcomes. (Training is for SLPs & DHH teachers only)
